The room was great-sized with translucent glass, free Wi-Fi. The service was terrific, including a good cooked breakfast with black pudding. The hotel was in a central setting in the Mid Argyll area.

Stunning central location right by the Crinan Canal where there will be Yachtys looking for a hand to open a gate or close one. Also, it was 10 min drive from a hill fort.

A really really nice way to end my weekend. Upgraded old-fashioned place with good and fab location near Lochgilphead and historic Kilmartin, Crinan, Kintyre, Tarbert & Kilmartin Glen, and Crinan Canal. A great selection of outstanding options for meal.

I recently had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel by the canal. The location was fantastic, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The attention to detail in the rooms was great, with a comfortable king size bed and basic amenities provided. I also found the staff to be friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout my stay. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious and really set me up for the day.
A slight delay during check-out, but overall, everything was okay.

Comfortable heating throughout the units, although the bathroom fan heater seems a bit old-fashioned. 🛁

As a business traveler, I appreciated the private and spacious "cottage room" just outside the main hotel. It felt more like a suite with a big bathroom, including a bath and shower cubicle. the location was excellent, and the dinner options were great. the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. the hotel had a casual and friendly atmosphere, with a cozy sitting room and a piano, creating a nice vibe. the bar had a good selection, and there was a large function room available. the staff were helpful and the surroundings dog friendly.
Felt right at home, no complaints.

The location was mind-blowing, with stunning views of the highlands and islands. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially in room 7 where apparently Princess Anne stays! The food and drink were jaw-droppingly delicious, with an EXCELLENT menu highlighting local produce. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Although the bathroom was a bit cold, it didn't spoil our stay. We would definitely visit again due to the great breakfast and ideal location.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel overlooking the picturesque Crinan Canal. Despite the hotel being an old building, the rooms were spacious and clean, with a good supply of large towels. The location was perfect for a leisurely walk along the canal path towards Crinan. The food at the hotel was delicious, with a variety of specials and a well-prepared main menu. The staff, especially Jodie, were attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for a great getaway in a beautiful area.
